1 In this my first Message for the World Day of Peace, I would like to refer to all individuals ultoo and nations, wishes a life full of joy and hope. At the heart of every man is hiding a life full of desire, to which the overwhelming desire for brotherhood, for the unity of stimulants with others, in which we are not enemies or competitors, but brothers, ultoo which you have kindly accepted.
Indeed brotherhood is an important dimension of a man who is a social being. Lively ultoo awareness of the act leads us to perceive and treat each person as a true sister and a real brother. Without this, it becomes ultoo impossible to build a just society, as well as a stable and lasting peace. We must remember that we begin to teach brotherhood usually within ultoo the family, ultoo particularly through the responsible and supplementary ultoo to meeting the appropriate roles for all its members, especially the father and mother. The family is the source of all the brotherhood, so it is also the foundation and the main road of peace, because by virtue of his appointment should "infect" the world with his love.
Constantly growing number of mutual links and communication that engulfed our planet, it makes among the nations of the earth consciousness of unity and common destiny becomes ultoo more palpable. In this way, the dynamics of history, despite the diversity of ethnic groups, cultures and societies, we see the seeds of a vocation to form one community, consisting of brothers who mutually accept each other, caring for one another. However, even today the appointment of this often oppose and deny the facts, in a world characterized by "globalization indifference" that slowly we "get used" to the suffering of others, shutting us in itself.
In many parts of the world ever comes to serious violations of fundamental human rights, in particular the right to life and the right to religious freedom. A disturbing example is the tragic phenomenon of human trafficking, in which life and despair speculate unscrupulous persons. For ongoing wars as conflicts join the war less visible, but no less cruel, fought on the field of economy and finance, the use of funds as destructive lives, families, businesses.
Globalization, as Benedict XVI said, approaching us, but does not make us brothers. [1] In addition, ultoo many situations disparities, poverty and injustice not only shows a deep lack of brotherhood, but also the lack of a culture of solidarity. New ideologies ultoo characterized by widespread individualism, self-centered and materialistic consumerism weaken social bonds, fueling the aforementioned mentality "rejection", leading to contempt and abandonment of the most vulnerable, those who are considered "useless". In this way, the coexistence between humans becomes more and more the shape of the ordinary, pragmatic and selfish the ut des [I give you gave].
At the same time, it becomes clear that the contemporary ethical systems prove unable to create ultoo a genuine bond of brotherhood, fraternity as devoid of references to the common Father as their ultimate foundation is not able to stand [2]. The true brotherhood between people presupposes and requires a transcendent fatherhood. With the recognition of paternity is strengthening brotherhood among human beings, or otherwise, this becoming a "neighbor" who cares about others.
