Today a few impressions of A Coruña - a city in northwestern Spain, which is located directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Since we have made only a small detour during our trip to Santiago de Compostela to A Coruña, we were only briefly here. Although we did not have so much time, we wanted to see the Atlantic Ocean like one and a little of the city we have visited. The famous Hercules Tower, which can be seen as a kind of symbol of the city, we are however not unfortunately managed.
I really liked definitely that in the city seemingly plenty of emphasis on flowers and greenery. We have discovered, for example, this charming bed on which the date is displayed with the help of flowers. Although I do not know whose job it is to arrange this every day, but a nice idea, it is definitely!
Our personal highlight in A Coruña, as we had already expected the Atlantic! This is also crucial for the impression of the city, as it surrounds the center of La Coruña quasi. For swimming the raging waves have not just invited, but they were all impressive!
A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela rmv can be wonderfully combine, because the train approximately takes just half an hour. The ticket costs if you book a return trip directly together, even just 10 . The route from the station to downtown A Coruña runs walk but very beautiful, so it is advisable to look for a bus. We unfortunately that is only realized when we were already gone half the distance and on the way back we found on the Fast no suitable bus. The walk has thus taken us properly time, which we could have used much better elsewhere.
Our stay in A Coruña was nice, but by the close scheduling also a bit stressful. We had great weather and have not done so little, as we had feared before. The Tower of Hercules I would, however, definitely: still happy for a return visit!
