Now you can upgrade the software in the DIR-655 so that it uses the environmentally friendly green technology available in the DIR-855. By using the built-in scheduler allows the user to silence the wireless part in certain periods, such as during working hours Monday to Friday. In an optimal situation without any cables connected and with the wireless part shut down, for example, when no one is home and use the Internet, the user can save up to 32% of power consumption maps on the DIR-655 and 41% on the DIR-855 compared with a traditional wireless router - thanks to the green technology.

Router hangs and restarts as soon as you drive a lot of traffic to it. The fall out when the number of connections becomes maps too high. Seems like the pain threshold is around 200 concurrent connections, as confirmed by several different forum.
Many struggle with that "Internet This out" with this router. What really happens is that most DNS is not working properly at times. This fixed easily by turning off "DNS Relay" in the router. DNS Relay is not only problematic with this router, but also with many others. This can be found by logging onto the router maps (enter maps 192.168.0.1 as the address in your browser, the default password is either blank, "admin" or "Administrator", can not remember), go to Setup -> Network Settings and turn off "DNS Relay "under Router Settings. Then press "Save Settings" and go to Tools -> System -> Reboot the Device. Not only I let DNS problems, surfing was much faster, and everything that went over your local network maps was much, much faster.
Bought this router quite early release for a tusings, have had it for about a year now :) Someone mentions problems here and there but I have not noticed anything maps wrong! maps Power cable to this case is slightly broken on my so if I pick up etc so tend it to turn off: - / --- Other than that it is ALL configurations this router perfectly in my opinion, I've been inside the gate forwarding and more servers maps and such and all that has been needed has been a quick reboot in 20 sec :) - Recommend this highly!
Can not quite understand why this router has gotten so good reviews! I had my one week, and the net fell out constantly, did not once and restart it. Searched the web for tips and advice from others who had the
